Due to the lack of providers in more remote areas, I commonly serve all of Northern California, and will travel depending upon availability. I have the ability to serve people all over the world upon proper arrangement. I have extensive experience working in Native and rural populations as well as in medical clinics and urban areas. If you are ready to take that step toward achieving your goal(s), contact me today.
I have been working in the field of social work since 1993, first as an Advocate, family law Independent Paralegal and Legal Secretary, then entering college with experience, graduating with honors: for a bachelor of arts degree in Native American Studies (Humboldt State University's School of Excellence), emphasis on Indian Child Welfare, Law & Government, minoring in Psychology. For a master's degree in Social Work, I had an emphasis in rural & indigenous populations. As a CalSWEC recipient, I also specialized in working with families and children. My journey to testing for licensure deepened my competency-based understanding of ecosystems, involving various roles: ICWA Specialist, Advocate, Counselor, Behavioral Health Integration, Tribal Social Worker, Adoptions, Foster Care, Child Protective Services, Grant Writer, Life Coach, Expert Witness, Adjunct Professor, Public Speaker, Author and Case Manager. I continue to be a lifelong scholar, and happily provide that information upon request.
More than my education, I have had the privilege to work with amazing people from various walks of life, from all socio-economic backgrounds and cultures. As a human being living at the same time as you, I hope that we can have a conversation about what you would like to work on and then see it evolve in your life.
